Safety of Skin Tightening

 Protective eyewear will be placed over your eyes to prevent harm. Since the procedure is non-invasive, you won’t feel any pain during and after the treatment. Although you may be given some pain medication before the treatment if you feel discomfort. Antibiotics and antifungal medications may also be given to prevent infection and other viruses.

After the procedure, the doctor will apply protective ointment on your face along with bandage in some cases. If you are experiencing swelling or redness, ice packs and pain medications will be helpful.

The whole process lasts between 30 to 60 minutes, based on the amount and location of the area.

How does it work?

Before treatment, the practitioner will smooth an anesthetic cream over the area to be affected in order to minimize the risk of any discomfort for the patient. Most patients who undergo skin tightening treatment experience only minor discomfort in the form of a heating sensation. 

During a laser skin tightening treatment session, the practitioner uses a handpiece to apply brief pulses of laser energy to the skin. A continuous burst of cool air from the laser will ensure the patients’ comfort.
